Dr. Rafael Otero was born and raised in south Texas; attained the highest GPA in his high school class before moving on to obtain his Bachelor's of Science in Biology at the University of Texas-Brownsville. He then graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in 2018, while completing his clinical rotations in Chicago, Houston and Las Vegas. Dr. Otero completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at the University of Texas - Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine in 2021 where he was also awarded the prestigious "Outstanding PGY3 Resident Award" in 2021 and "Best Senior Resident Award for Outstanding Medical Student Teaching". He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Otero is excited to give back to the community that raised him.
Dr. Oryana Otero was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Dr. Otero graduated from medical school in 2021 from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. She completed her clinical rotations in Las Vegas, Nevada. She then chose to return to the Rio Grande Valley to complete her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2024. Dr. Oryana Otero is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
